Taylor Swift's been my hero since I was a little kid. I didn't only grow up with her songs, I feel like all of these songs describe my life so well and I can easily describe each part of my life with a Taylor Swift song. Today, I decided to give myself a really hard task by choosing my top 13 favorite Taylor Swift songs (it took me days to make this list because.... there is literally no Taylor Swift song that doesn't deserve to be here). Before I start writing, I just want you to know that this is my personal opinion and there were no other factors that affected this list. 13. EnchantedAt no.13 I decided to put 'Enchanted' because it was one of my favorite songs when I was younger. This song just has that fairytale sound and fairytale lyrics that connected create a masterpiece. I really like everything about this song, not only the incredible story-telling that Ms.Taylor does so well (and wrote it all by herself!), but also the production, the instruments and the background vocals are really incredible. 12. You're not sorryWhen I think about being younger and just discovering Taylor Swift's songs, I was always super impressed by the way she sings ballads and the way she was expressing her emotions. 'You're not sorry' is one of those songs and I really like this song because when you listen to it, every word, every note, every background vocal is on the point. There's this thing with Taylor's songs that when you listen to them you can't imagine the song to be made any other way, but this! 11. New Year's DayI almost didn't put 'New Year's Day' on this list, but I just had to, because the 'please, don't ever become a stranger who's laugh I could recognize anywhere' line always hit me. 'New Year's Day' is such a pure and beautiful song that inside it's simplicity really tells a story worth listening. I like it how people always search new things and always want more, but this song is a perfect example of how even in the New Year when you're truly happy there's nothing you want to change, you just continue where you left one day ago. 10. Cold as youI'm such a huge fan of ballads, but this song is really special for me. The way the story and emotions are presented are both beautiful and sad. What's really special to me is that this song was released when Taylor was just 16 years old and written probably when she was younger. It's so incredible to witness the talent she had even when she was this young. 'Begin Again' has always been one of my favorite Taylor Swift songs. I really like the message behind that song, to never lose hope and to never stop believing ('in love', but I really take this message for 'in life'). I really like how slow this song is and soft. I really like it how Taylor knows how to sing each song and make it believable. 8. All Too WellThis is one of the best Taylor Swift songs. It does not only have a story, but remarkable lyrics and so many details that make everyone fall in love with it. There's this huge element added to this song when Taylor says 'but you keep my old scarf from that very first week'- I truly believe that it's this line that made this song so special, because after all of these heartbreaking lyrics, the way she connected the song from where it all started is probably the cleverest thing that anyone has ever done. People try to write novels, but still half of them don't even get close to what Taylor did in 5:28 minutes. I would just like to add that the only reason why this song is only at no.8 at my list is because I have songs that actually are really important to me and my life and that's why I decided to put this song here. 7. New RomanticsI feel like 'New Romantics' is the most underrated song by Taylor Swift herself. This song is such a masterpiece. It could've been easily one of Taylor's biggest hit if she only promoted it the right way. It's such a strong song with clever lyrics and the melody just gets stuck inside your head and you can't get it out. I feel like this song speaks up for a whole generation and that is why it's so legendary! 6. Dancing with our hands tied (Acoustic version)I've been in love with the studio version of this song since it came out, but the way Taylor expresses her emotion during the acoustic version it remarkable. I have had this version on repeat ever since The 'reputation stadium tour' came out on Netflix and I don't think that I'll stop listening to it any time soon. I would also like to say how much I love the bridge of this song. It's so simple, but so beautiful! 5. I know placesThis song is so special to me, because it's written by Taylor and Ryan Tedder who are my biggest role models. Their music has been my place to hide from everything negative and with their music I learned so much, so to find out that they worked together (also on 'Welcome to New York') is such an important thing for me and I feel like somewhere hundreds of years from now this collaboration will be remembered as the time two legends decided to create even more legendary song! 4. Back to December'Back to December' is probably the reason why I am right here right now. This song made me fall in love with Taylor, since I heard the 'it turns out freedom ain't nothing but missing you....'- the way she sings that part is probably my favorite thing ever to this very day and this song made me actually write my own songs and believe that I can do it, because knowing that just an ordinary girl decided to start writing songs one day and actually was able to write this song, this masterpiece gave me strength and made me believe that I can do anything. 3. Getaway CarThis song is so classic and beautifully written, that even over 10 years of Taylor killing the music industry still has the ability to be a story teller inside her songs and that is what I call a pure talent. Every single part of this song is so beautiful and well-thought out and each situation is explained with incredible background effects. I don't think that anyone can think that Taylor doesn't run the music industry after listening to this song! 2. Don't blame me'Don't blame me' is such a smart song in my opinion. The way Taylor connected her story telling and philosophy inside this song really shows off how intelligent and talented she is at the same time. Some people are just creative, but are not good at having their own logical conclusions, but this song really shows the best of Taylor and I love the instruments that were used on this song and really everything that was added to make this song so special. 1. Wildest Dreams'Wildest Dreams' is my absolute favorite song by all time (not just by Taylor Swift). Just the way this song is created, the instruments combined with Taylor's beautiful voice and incredible lyrics- I remember the first time I heard this song, I fell in love with it the very first second and I still fall in love with it everytime I listen to it. This song is about Taylor wanting to be remembered by this guy in the best way and she hopes he only remembers the good memories once they're not together anymore- but I really like to put this message in life, because to me it's really important that people remember me as a good and kind person even if I only see them once and never again really. This is my 'Top 13 favorite songs by Taylor Swift'. Let me know what are your favorites and please, before I say goodbye, if you have a second, it would mean the world to me if you could read about my Notayce Meow Project ( link here! ).
